After seeing it work for Sue’s mum, Sue and Dave decided they wanted to try out the park home lifestyle. The couple first enquired at Warren Park, the closest Laird Estates park to the two in Cheshire. However, with the park’s success, there were no homes available. Bill from Laird Estates was very transparent in that the couple might be waiting a while if they’re set on Warren Park.
“We need to go back to the Laird Estates.”
Sue and Dave carried on looking at other parks around the UK but always found something missing. Whether it be a lack of community, little privacy, or parks not allowing pets, no parks lived up to their first impression of Warren Park. After discussing their situation, they decided “We need to go back to the Laird Estates.”
With available homes at Heatherbank Country Park, the pair decided to try out Scotland and haven’t looked back since. Speaking to them, they dote on the beauty of the countryside whilst still being able to get out and about. They mention “beautiful walks ten minutes down the road” and “everything is within driving distance”.
Speaking on behalf of Laird Estates, Bill Laird comments: “We like it when people go and see other parks, it is a testament to our quality and community that people come back to us after seeing what else is out there”
“Of everywhere else we’ve seen, the feel of Heatherbank is different.”
A relaxed approach
Sue and Dave say how much they appreciate the relaxed approach of Laird Estates, never feeling forced or rushed into making a decision. After coming back and viewing Heatherbank, they knew that was the park for them. “Of everywhere else we’ve seen, the feel of Heatherbank is different.”
Looking around the new Omar Ikon, you can tell the two feel at home. Customisations have been made around the home, including changing the kitchen cabinets and the living room wall, adding a large electric fire centrepiece.
Sue and Dave are part of creating a thriving community at Heatherbank, working on the park in addition to living on it. Sue brings her unique style to the showhomes, adding personal touches that make each one special, while Dave plays a key role in developing new plots, ensuring the park continues to expand and flourish.
Outside of their work, Sue and Dave cherish their evenings walking their dog and engaging with fellow residents, enjoying the close-knit, safe atmosphere that sets Heatherbank apart from other parks. They remark on how other parks they viewed seemed to lack that sense of connection and security. When we spoke with them, Sue and Dave were preparing for an upcoming holiday, a testament to how much they’re relishing their new lifestyle at Heatherbank.
