Heatherbank Park

In September 2023, Anne and Stephen visited Heatherbank Country Park, by the next day they had reserved their park home plot.

Looking to sell their home in Salisbury and relocate to Scotland, the couple got in touch with Laird Estates and wanted to know more about the park lifestyle. Heatherbank was undergoing a new phase of development, creating new plots and expanding the park. Now was a perfect time to look into relocating.

The couple looked around an Omar Ikon showhome at Heatherbank and fell in love with it. With their home chosen and a plot available, the only thing left was to sell their current house and move everything cross country up to Scotland.

However, despite being a well-kept house on a new-build estate, they had a hard time selling their home with it sitting on the market for nine months and hearing a no from multiple part exchange companies. Laird Estates went down to meet the couple and quickly said they would take the home and put Anne and Stephen onto their Easy Move scheme.

Less than six months after first inquiring to Laird Estates, Anne and Stephen were settling in to their new bespoke park home.

“Other part exchange companies wouldn’t take our house but Laird Estates made it easy”

Feeling at home

After deciding on their park home – an Omar Ikon, Anne and Stephen were able to move to Heatherbank as soon as it was ready, leaving the selling of their old house up to Laird Estates. “Other part exchange companies wouldn’t take our house but Laird Estates made it easy”, Anne said, reflecting on their situation last year.

Walking around the park home, the couple have truly made it their own. Anne spoke of how before moving onto the park, they worked with Omar to customise a few final touches to improve their living space. Having originally looked at the 45×20, they finally ended up on the 50×20 and noted: “The extra 5 feet has really made a difference, it meant we could add a wall to separate the dining area from the entranceway”.

Catering towards both of their hobbies, throughout the home there are built-in bookcases in every room and an outbuilding at the bottom of the garden for Stephen’s model painting and preserving.

Their living room sees floor-to-ceiling built-in bookshelves, with more book storage space added at either end of their kitchen island.

Having recently sold their sofas to the residents of the opposite park home, you can feel the community aspect of the park.

The couple own a motorhome which they can keep free of charge on the park in a designated storage area. The couple enjoy touring Scotland and coming back to the peace of the park.
