Whether you’re just starting your journey or you’ve already browsed brochures and websites, there’s nothing quite like visiting a park in person. It’s your chance to get a true feel for the home, the park atmosphere, and whether this lifestyle is right for you.
If you’re preparing for your first visit, here’s what you can expect
A Warm Welcome
When you arrive at one of our parks, you’ll be greeted by a friendly member of our team who will guide you through your visit. We understand that choosing a new home is a big decision, and our approach is always relaxed and informative. There’s no hard sell, just an opportunity to explore, ask questions, and imagine what life could look like here. We want you to feel comfortable and take your time during the visit.
Depending on the location, you may start with a brief overview of the park’s layout, its facilities, and the homes currently available or coming soon.
Touring the Show Homes
One of the most exciting parts of your visit is stepping inside a beautifully finished show home. These are real examples of what life in a park home can look like.
As you tour the home, pay attention to how it feels. Many park homes feature open-plan living and dining areas that feel light and airy, with large windows and thoughtful design touches. Kitchens are often fully integrated, with built-in appliances, practical storage solutions, and stylish finishes. Bedrooms tend to include fitted wardrobes, and most master suites have an en-suite bathroom.
You’ll also notice details that make park homes more accessible, such as wide doorways, low thresholds, and single-level layouts that eliminate the need for stairs – perfect for retirement park living.
If you’re thinking about a bespoke home, touring a show home is a great way to spark ideas for layout choices, finishes, and furnishings.
Exploring the Park
Beyond the home itself, the setting is just as important. During your visit, you’ll have time to explore the park and get a feel for its atmosphere. Those little things often make the biggest difference when choosing where to live.
Take a look at the layout of the park, for our parks with multiple plots available, you’ll be able to imagine which plots works best for you. You’ll see how much space is given to each home, the landscaping around the plots, and whether there’s visitor parking, a park office, or other useful features like motorhome storage.
You might also bump into a resident or two, and if they’re happy to chat, it’s a great way to hear what it’s really like to live there. Most of our parks have a strong sense of community, with neighbours looking out for one another while still enjoying their privacy.
Asking Questions
It’s completely normal to come armed with a list of questions and we encourage it! Our team is here to help you make an informed decision, so no query is too big or too small.
Some of the most common questions include:
What are the site fees, and what do they cover? We’ll explain the annual pitch fee, what’s included, and what to budget for other running costs like council tax and utilities.
Are pets allowed? All of our parks are pet friendly, we’re happy to discuss specific rules and be clear about what applies where.
What’s included in the price of the home? Most homes are fully furnished, but we’ll clarify exactly what’s part of the purchase and what can be customised.
What amenities are nearby? We’ll talk you through the local area, from shops and GP surgeries to walking routes and bus links.
What Happens Next?
After your visit, there’s no pressure to decide anything straight away. Many people like to go home and reflect, or even return for a second viewing with family. If you’re interested in a particular plot or home, we’ll explain the next steps clearly and answer any follow-up questions.
If you’re not quite ready yet, that’s absolutely fine too, we’ll keep you updated about availability and any new homes or phases coming soon. We have park homes for sale in Shropshire, Derbyshire, Cheshire, Lincolnshire and Scotland so when you’re ready – we’re here!
