On September 27th we hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning at Heatherbank Country Park.
As cancer affects 1 in 2 people, this cause is one that resonates with a lot of people and a lot of our residents. Our coffee morning was open to all residents, friends and family and we’re so happy people came along to donate and spent their time and energy making cakes and biscuits. We saw a wide array of homemade goodies including gluten-free and vegan cakes and delicious shortbread made by our own site manager Robert.
Together the park raised £140 which was matched by Laird Estates for a total of £280 given to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Macmillan Cancer Support is 98% funded by voluntary donations and has been running since 1990. This was the first coffee morning we have hosted at this park and we’re grateful for the turnout and the charitable donations.
