75th Anniversary of VE Day

Residents of Warren Park could not let the 75th anniversary of VE Day go by without showing their gratitude with a celebration party.

Residents of Warren Park are used to a very social lifestyle, enjoying monthly Barbeques on the Park green being just one example, so the Covid 19 pandemic has cancelled summer events and get together’s, but it was felt that the sacrifices of the brave men and women 75 years ago, could not go by without honouring all concerned.

VE Day Celebrations

Clive Boyle (site manager) and Andy Robinson (resident) set out markers to ensure government guidelines were adhered to regarding social distancing, enabling all to have a wonderful day. Residents enjoyed individual picnics, sing along’s and dancing to 40’s music in the centre of the road, all whilst adhering to social distancing. A great day was had by all!
