The holiday season is just around the corner, and we’re excited to share some of the most charming Christmas events happening around our Laird Estates parks. From bustling markets to dazzling light displays and festive performances, here’s what residents can look forward to enjoying this December.
Shropshire – Warren Park & Grindley Brook Park
Date: 7th December
The Fayre begins at 10:00 am, though many of Much Wenlock’s shops will be open even earlier. Visitors can enjoy a full day of live performances and entertainment for all ages, along with over 100 festive stalls offering unique, handcrafted gifts. The day concludes beautifully with a candlelit procession along the High Street and traditional Christmas carols in the town square starting at 4:30 pm.

This December, step into the enchanting Georgian Mansion, where over twenty rooms are beautifully decorated with sparkling Christmas trees inspired by captivating stories, myths, and legends. From the powerful gods of Greek and Roman mythology to timeless tales from Attingham’s own history, each room offers a unique festive story. The magical ambiance brings the past to life, creating a truly unforgettable Christmas experience.
Cheshire – Fairview Park and Western Park
Journey to Oz: The Christmas Mansion at Tatton Park
Date: 23 November – 29 December 2024
Embark on a magical journey through Tatton Park’s historic mansion, where iconic scenes from The Wizard of Oz are brought to life with festive flair.
As you explore the beautifully decorated staterooms, each turn reveals a new surprise—from the adventure along the Yellow Brick Road to the dazzling Emerald City, all adorned in sparkling holiday décor.

Chester Christmas Market returns this winter, bringing festive cheer and holiday treats to the city centre. With 70 unique stalls around the town hall, the new arcade, and the forum, all surrounding the iconic sparkling tree, this handmade, historical market offers a truly enchanting atmosphere. Peak District – Peaklands Park

This quaint, picturesque market brings holiday cheer to the heart of the Peak District. From mulled wine to handcrafted gifts, it’s a perfect way to start the festive season with a touch of rural charm and seasonal spirit.
Christmas at Chatsworth: A Christmas Feast
Date: 9 November – 5 January
Step into a Christmas wonderland at Chatsworth, where the enchanting story Henry and the Lion’s Christmas Feast, crafted in collaboration with Joseph Coelho OBE, fills this year’s celebration with magical sights, scents, and sounds.
Join them, as you journey through over 20 beautifully decorated rooms, each glowing with holiday lights and surprises that spark the imagination and invite a fresh perspective on the season’s wonders.
Scotland – Cunninghamhead Estate and Heatherbank Country Park
Date: 20th December – 12th January
Europe’s largest indoor funfair! Whether it’s a fun-filled day out with the family or an action-packed night with friends, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at the SEC, Glasgow.
Date: 9th November – 5th January
Glasgow Winterfest returns for its second year, bringing a festive extravaganza to the heart of the city. This year’s Winterfest offers even more entertainment and family-friendly fun at George Square and St. Enoch Square, starting in November and continuing through January.
